Tower of Babel is dedicated to preserving, collecting, studying, and acknowledging the impact of the material culture from immigrant communities, especially the Caribbean diaspora, in the United States.

Goals

To create and preserve a collection of objects that attest to the material legacy of immigrant communities from the Caribbean region in the United States.
To create awareness on, and promote the contribution of, immigrant communities to the transformation and development of U.S. culture.
To contribute to a better appreciation and understanding of the role material culture plays in contemporary societies, especially within immigrant communities, where objects become anchors to their cultures of origin and bridges to the adoptive country.
